Copper Sulphate Powder – Effective Fungicidal Power
We use copper sulphate powder as a powerful fungicide to combat and prevent thrush.

Usage

Before application, thoroughly clean your horse's hoof.

Please use gloves, wash hands after contact and avoid contact with eyes.

Sprinkle a generous amount of the powder onto the problem area and pack it into the crevices with a hoof pick.

If your horse wears hoof boots, we recommend treating the hoof when your horse is going to wear boots for a period, e.g. before riding. This allows the powder time to absorb properly and prevents it from being washed away directly by moisture or other external factors.

If the hoof is very dry (which is often not the case with thrush), you can lightly moisten it to help the mixture stay in place, or spray the hoof with a little water to make the powder stick, or mix the powder with a few drops of water in, for example, the lid to create a thick paste.

You should start to see improvement within the first two weeks of daily use. Continue use until the problem disappears. Can also be used preventatively. If the infection is deep, consult your farrier. Results may vary depending on the horse's individual circumstances and the severity of the problem.
